The three laws you must follow when starting a business
By Jeremy McCluggage
Just as in any other area of life, in business, there are rules. If you break those rules and someone asks you where your business is headed, you could say, âAll the way to the scene of the accident.â These rules work in other areas of your life as well yet in business you often have thousands of dollars on the line if you make a misstep of this magnitude.
The first is the Law of Reciprocity. You must give to receive, and if you are unwilling to give you will not receive. Be willing to give your clients a little something to keep them and for return clients give then something a little extra. It is much more expensive to get a client than to keep them. Treat them like the gold they are.
The second is the Law of Requisite Variety. This states that any entity that is most flexible will dominate the environment in which they find themselves. This works best if you have a base line to work from, like a business plan. Once you know the goal or your outcome then you can be flexible on the methods or the route to get there. If something is not working then stop and do something different. Always be testing to see what works and what does not.
Finally there is the Law of Attraction. Like attracts like. There have been some books lately that have blown this law out of proportion and made it more than it is which is a shame because it is still a law of physics that must be obeyed. What ever you are focused on with emotion or high energy you attract. That can be good, bad or ugly. You have heard of the self fulfilling prophecy, right? The law of attraction is just that.
So if you focus on what you want and know you outcome you are going for in your business and are willing to be flexible in the process of getting your outcome you have a good chance to make it in business today. Your focus does create your reality. Focus your attention on what you are doing in any moment and you will not only get more done, if you are focused on the right things you will make more money.
